Pretty Packages, Ribbons, and Bows...
I love to make sweet treats and gifts for my kids' teachers, and these tiny Gable Boxes svg files from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff are on sale, so I thought that they would be PERFECT to hold the Chocolate Chip Cookie Truffles that I made!
I cut all of the boxes from a stack of Christmas paper from The Paper Studio, and- Lindsay has included a printable scoring guide, so you know exactly how to fold them! It makes it so much easier!
I added hand dyed shabby seam binding (yummy), and bits of flowers, mini tags, and brads, to make the boxes special.
Here is the recipe for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Truffles:
1pkg (16.5oz) Nestle's Toll House Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
1 pkg (3oz) cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup (6oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp vegetable shortening
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare cookies according to package directions; however, bake 14 to 18 minutes until crisp and golden brown but not burnt. (crisp cookies will be easier to grind) Cool cookies completely on wire racks. Line baking sheets with wax paper. Crumble cookies into food processor. Process until mixture resembles a coarse meal. Add softened cream cheese, process until mixture begins to hold together. Mixture will be a dark color. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls;place on prepared sheet. Put in freezer 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Microwave morsels and shortening following melting directions on morsel packaging. Dip balls completely into melted chocolate with fork or toothpick. Use side of bowl to remove excess chocolate. Return to sheet, dust truffles with cocoa powder,or top with festive sprinkles. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until set.
Then make some of these AWESOME boxes to put them in!
You can take advantage of the pretty packaging sale at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff!

Embellished Doilies...
These papers are for sale, but the one I used just (might ;-) ) be a freebie on Lindsay's blog today! I printed the artistic zebra print out on pink vellum (I LOVE it, so pretty!!), and cut the doily and dress form out with my Cricut, decorated the dress form with black tulle, pink ribbon and flowers, and a pearl center! These embellies are fun to use on girly card or scrapbook page, and I have seen them with several doilies displayed in a shadow box...lots of fun things that you could do with them!
The challenges that I am entering with this project are:
- Craft Your Passion:Anything Goes
- Digistamps4Joy: Round
- Incy Wincy: Anything Goes
Thanks for dropping by my blog today, now head over to the rest of the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff dt for more inspiration:

Good Morning!
The card that I have to share with you today is my first Christmas card this year...I am way behind last year! For some reason, I haven't been able to find my crafty mojo for a few weeks, and it has been somewhat of a challenge to make myself put together the cards and pages that I have! Ok, enough about me, on to my card!
I started with this sketch from Stampin Royalty :
I used a digital scrapbook kit from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, "Winterland".
I embossed some cardstock with a snowflakes to go underneath the sled image, which was cut in a circle shape using my Cricut and Winter Wonderland Cartridge, which I also used to cut the sentiment "Warm Winter Wishes" in regular, then the shift in the light blue cardstock, which I embossed with my Swiss Dots folder. I layered snowflakes-the felt one was a stiffened glittery felt that I cut with my Doodlecharms cart and Deep Cut Blade, and some rhinestone snowflakes. I added pink flocked brads from Doodlebug, a deep red shabby seam binding ribbon, a clear acrylic snowflake with glittered red dots from Making Memories Fa La La line, and a red glitter brad by Making Memories.
The challenges that I am entering this card into are:
- Stampin' Royalty: sketch
- 2 Sisters Challenge: Anything Goes
- ABC Challenge: "G" is for glitter
- Bee-Crafty Challenges: Christmas, using a digital image
- Craft Your Passion Challenge: Glitter, sparkles
- Crafty Ann's Challenge blog: Recipe-ribbon,gems, and at least one embellishment made of paper or card(stock?)
- The Crafty Pad: Christmas
- Creative Cottage Challenge:embossing
