Counterfeit Kit Club

Are you like me?? Do surf the web and see the beautiful projects that other scrapbookers make, using products from various kit clubs, and think, " Wow! I wish I had the room/money to join that club!" ? Well, here's the answer to that: Shop from your own stash!!
When I was surfing 2 Peas In a Bucket a few days ago, I ran across a new challenge that was being set up, geared towards saving money and using our stash. The idea is to "copycat" or "lift" a current kit, "shopping" through your own stash and handmaking embellishments, being creative to use what you have. Well, it sounded perfect to me, 'cause my husband is always joking about my scrapbook stuff "creeping out"and taking over the living room. So, maybe this will help me pare my stash down a little bit! This month, the inspiration was the JBS monthly kit for December and Add-On. I loved them, so I used the color inspiration, and tried to match the kit piece-for-piece. I think I succeeded pretty well!!Here's my kit:
1 Partial Sheet Battenburg Making Memories Love Notes paper
1 Sheet Webster's Pages "...little nibbles" Sweet As Cherry Pie paper
1 Sheet Dark Green Wasau Shimmer cardstock that has been cut into a paper lace with my Cricut
1 Sheet Basic Grey Chatsworth Porcelain collection
1 Sheet Webster's Pages "...fly a kite" Sweet As Cherry Pie Collection
1 Sheet Pink Paislee "Parachute Pants" Pop Fashion Collection
1 Sheet Sassafrass Lass Bungle Jungle lined paper
1 Sheet scalloped cream lined Creative Imaginations paper
1 Sheet each yellow and green glitter cardstock (from a stack from Wal Mart)
1 Sheet each red and black glazed Bazzill cardstock

Making Memories red Puffy Alpha stickers
Martha Stewart red label stickers (another Big Lots find)

  11. Thanks for the link back. Enjoyed the post. Actually, about a year ago, I went to the beginning of CKC blog and started reading. Had the idea that I would like to go back and "do" the old kits, and now here we are. I am so delighted with this months kit.
