How Have You "Bean"?

Do you ever have one of those weeks where you feel like you're spinning your wheels, but not getting ahead?It has definantly been one of those weeks for me! I have parties, school functions and PTO meetings, and my oldest is in a play every day for the rest of the week...and I am trying to prepare for a bridal shower I am throwing for my little sis, which is fun, but, the invitations need to go out by this weekend, so it's crunch time! So today's card is a quickie, using an image that I have had colored for a while. I started with this week's sketch at 2Sketches4You, and I used images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Coffee Talk Set. Cards for Challenges

Hi, everyone! Well, it’s time! Have you been putting off those Valentines until the last minute? Well, Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff is having a sale, so now’s the time! This card was made using the doily heart from the Love Grows Here digistamp collection. I used this week’s sketch from Card Positioning Systems, and took the inspiration challenges from Cupcake Crafts and Cute Card Thursday challenges. The challenge at Cupcake Crafts this week is to use red and white all over.Cute Card Thursday's challenge for this week is "Spots and Dots". The card base is just plain white cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder, topped off with a scrap of red and white polka dot cardstock (I think from American Crafts), white lace strip from my grandmas’s sewing basket, and the digistamp from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff that I colored with Copics, stitched with red and white baker’s twine, and used a tiny hole punch for the details, and popped it up with foam Pop Dots.
The second card is a birthday card I made for my sister-in-law using this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The cupcake paper is from Creative Imaginations, topped with a scrap of a lavender/pink cardstock that I ran through the Cuttlebug with my D’vine Swirls folder, topped with some sheer embroidered white ribbon that has been in my stash forever, and topped with Lindsay’s All Around phrases digistamp, with one of the cupcakes from her Sweet Stuff collection centered in it. I cut the circle out with my Cricut, Plantain Schoolbook cartridge, and the center point function. Then I colored, Stickled and glittered it to my hearts content (nothing is as satisfying as a pretty, sparkly cupcake, lol). Yum-No calorie sweetness!

Valentine Banner

Do you ever feel a little let down when you take down your christmas decorations? I know that I
do! I even teased my husband and told him that I was going to take the christmas ornaments off of the Christmas tree and turn it into a Valentine's tree, lol. But instead, I decided to start making some Valentine's decorations. I LOVE the banners that I have seen on 2 Peas and some other blogs. Well, now Lindsay has made it easy to make some FAN-ta-stic ones using the Cricut and SCAL, called Pretty Banners svgs,with several different types of banners-swirls, plain, scalloped,circles,and stars. She also includes printable JPGs for you to cut by hand if you do not have one. And, even better, everything at her My Graphico Shop is on sale, 25% off for today and tomorrow only! Run, don't walk, to get your digistamps and svg files while they're on sale!
I made the whole banner with one sheet of white shimmer cardstock (which I used for the scalloped banners and the lettering), and one sheet of purple cardstock (that I used for the swirl and plain banners), some eyelets, ribbon, and digistamps from Lindsay's Love Grows Here digistamp kit. The challenge at the Digital Tuesday blog this week is to use embossing, and I am using my new Cuttlebug as much as possible, so I embossed the plain banner shapes with the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, which I think added a nice touch, and went well with the other swirl cut out banners. I added tiny light purple heart shaped eyelets to the corners of the banners and threaded a sheer pink ribbon through. I am really happy with the way it turned out!

Love is in the air...

...And my little sister is getting married! Yay Beth! And since I am "feeling the love" I thought I would use the new digistamp kit from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, Love Grows Here. I LOVE cupcakes, and I love that this one is calorie free! But it made a sweet birthday card! I used my new Cuttlebug that I got for Christmas (Thanks Honey), and embossed the pink cardstock background with the D'vine Swirls Embossing Folder, then added pattern paper from DCWV's Sweet Stack cardstock. I added my colored image and some "pearls" for a sweet birthday card! Now, head over to Lindsay's blog, she has a freebie for you! Thursday with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Here's the card I made for this week's challenge at Inspirational Card Sketches. I started with a white card base, embossed it with Cuttlebug's Dvine Swirls folder. I added a strip of red shimmer cardstock from Wasau Paper to the bottom, printed out the Embossed Rectangle digistamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, and the Embossed Scalloped Circle freebie (find it HERE). I stamped "Tis the Season" with a traditional Martha Stewart clear stamp, and printed out Lora's Poinsettia digistamp freebie (which you can find HERE). I colored the poinsettia digistamp with my copics, inked the edges of my scalloped circle with Ladybug red Momento ink, colored some chipboard swirls from Cherry Arte with my Copics, and put it all together with some pop dots for a 3-d effect. All that was left was tying on a sheer red ribbon for a finishing touch.

Lindsay's new set this week is this awesome recipe card digistamp set- so I had to use it-since I am still working on my sister's Christmas present ( a recipe book)! For both of these layouts, I used sketches from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks.
