One More for March...

Just one more quick post to share another layout that I made this month...

For the first layout, I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers:
Here is the layout I made based on the sketch:

I was also inspired by this Color Suite from Scrapbooks And Cards Today:

I used supplies from my March Counterfeit Kit, "Country Sunshine":
MME Follow Your Heart, aqua cardstock, Studio Calico patterned paper, rose embossed cardstock, aqua and white twine, and a few leftover bits from previous kits; the aqua Prima flower, and the little printed tag from a Scrapbook Circle printable.
Thanks for dropping by today, I will have a March wrap up with my last couple of layouts in a couple of days!

A Rainbow of Color...

The Sketch I Used:
My Layout:

I was also inspired by the Rainbow Challenge at the Counterfeit kit challenge blog (although I didn't quite finish it in time to share with the other Master Forgers' layouts).
I used supplies from my Mid March Counterfeit kit-the Jillibean Soup patterned paper for the background, and Making Memories metal flowers, aqua glitter glue and Petaloo flowers from my March main kit (they were all cream colored, but I sprayed them with various mists to make them a rainbow of colors), and added in an assortment of leftover flowers. I made the "ruffles" with white cardstock, a Martha Stewart lace border punch, and some chalk ink.

Basic Grey Sketch Layout

Just a quick post to share a layout that I made for this week's Basic Grey sketch:

Here is my layout, using Basic Grey papers-the background is from the Basics line, and the light blue/white swirl is from the Eskimo Kisses Collection:

I used up some scraps of dark aqua cardstock, and a few other bits and pieces, such as a wooden button leftover from one of my Christmas kits, and a glittery white snowflake from my January "Cozy Cabin in the Snow" kit.
A Closer look at my mini banners:

Loving all of the new Dear Lizzy stuff!

As you saw from the kit I posted earlier, I have some of the newest Dear Lizzy papers, and I just couldn't wait to use them! I used this sketch from the Paper Variety:

I combined the sketch with the ScrapFIT challenge:

The 'Its Easy as 1, 2, 3..' Workout is here and all you have to do is list out numerically your journaling on your layout! This could be a list of your Top 10 favorite moments from last year, a list of goals for the new year or the countless reason you love ScrapFIT (Just kidding!). Show us your numbered list!
And the 2 Peas Dear Lizzy Challenge...and I used my newest "Counterfeit" kit, "Catching Fireflies", along with some cardstock from my March and February main kits.

I got a lot of scrapping done today, so expect me to share several more layouts over the next few days!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Mid March Counterfeiting!

When we (the CKCB designers) were asked by Beth and Meridy if we wanted to make a page kit for our fellow counterfeiters to copy, I jumped at the chance!  I was given a theme of "Fun and Games", and I went off on a hunt for a kit to "copy". I was inspired by 2 different kits, "Best. Day. Ever.", by Scrapbook Circle, and the March Paper Posies kit.  I had a few  (3 or 4) of the Dear Lizzy Neopolitan papers that I mixed with a few older papers, from the Girls Paperie, Making Memories, Jillibean Soup, and Prima. I also added in a few embellishments that I got from swaps (the pinwheels and rosettes, and some ancient Making Memories butterflies from my stash, and some fun finds from Tuesday Mornings and Marshalls- the Dear Lizzy Mixtape (from one of her older lines), the stamps, Canvas BG tags, and the Dear Lizzy Thickers. I also printed out several digistamps to color and add as embellishments/use for cards. The only thing I bought specifically for this kit was the smoky platinum sheer ribbon. It wasn't ruffled, so I bought a sheer ribbon with wired edges, and pulled the wire to ruffle it on one side.
*Money Saving Tip: If you just HAVE.TO.HAVE. the newest CHA goodies, do like I do...just pick up a few sheets of your favorite paper and mix it with your older/handmade stash!
If you want some fun polaroid frames and mason jar digi stamps, here are some links to freebies I found on the web:

We were also asked to choose a sketch and make a page...I chose the sketch, but haven't gotten the page made yet. I'll share the page as soon as I get it finished, I promise!

Here's the sketch from the Paper Variety for you to try if you would like:

Mother's Day is coming!

Today I am sharing a fun flowery card that I made for my mom for Mother's Day:

I took the challenge this past weekend from Scrapbook and Cards Today blog, to use this photo for inspiration:

With such pretty colors, I immediately thought of Mother's Day! I am also linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge:
MOTHER'S DAY/SPECIAL GIRL
Can you see how I was inspired? This was a great way to use up floating flowers from my stash and several past Counterfeit Kits!

Now, I have a question for you- Do you think I should stamp a sentiment on the outside, or leave it as is and stamp the inside only?
