Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop: Blank Canvas Challenge

Welcome to the CKCB blog hop! The challenge that I am inspired to share with you today is a page that I made for the blank canvas challenge:
Challenge 1: Blank Canvas:  Use WHITE as your background on your project.  Just plain white.  You can use what ever colors/papers from your kit to go on top, but the background paper must be white.

I started with white cardstock, and added a bit of mist droplets:

Added photos, papers, and other bits from my August kit, and came up with this page:

I love the results of taking this challenge, and I have lots left in my August kit. Maybe I'll take the "Wrapping Paper Challenge" next. I am feeling very inspired by this lovely paper:

Until I take the next next challenge, though, there is plenty for you to be inspired by! Here is the blog hop list so that you can see how others are using their kits this month:

Counterfeit Kit Challenge 3 for August

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this sneak peek of this page:

As you can see, I am a little behind on using up my kits, so this page is taken almost entirely from my July kit. I was inspired a week or so ago to cut the tiny windows out of this fun Dear Lizzy frame paper with an exacto knife, and back them with tiny squares of the Teresa Collins patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and then backed the whole sheet with a lovely, thick piece of the Carta Bella textured paper. Then it sat in my scrap basket for several days, with out a given purpose. When I was looking over my challenge for the CKC blog this moth, I knew immediately that for a challenge based on the word "Friends", I wanted to write a little bit about the unique relationship that my girls share. I thought of this paper, found a picture that demonstrated some of the things that I wanted to talk about, and it all came together nicely for me in this page:

The journaling says: " Having a twin sister means having a built in best friend to fight with, laugh with, and share with. You are both great readers, and you had fun posing with Posiedon in Epcot's Italy pavilion, since you have both read several books with Greek mythology in them."

Counterfeit Kit Challenge reveal for August 2015

Wow, August already? Where did summer fly off to? I blinked and now it is time for back to school madness! But, that also means calm and quiet around the house during the daytime, and back to routines, which our family seems to function with much better. But, Saturdays are still my crafty time (except the next 2 weeks, they will be consumed with back to school shopping), so I made up another kit to craft with, all from my stash. The kit that we were given to be inspired by was the Scrappy Canary June Kit, called "Globe Trotter".

I raided my stash and came up with a kit of my own supplies, which I am calling "World Traveler". I had some lovely globe paper that I "had" to incorporate from Carta Bella, along with some beautiful paper from Glitz Designs, paper and embellishments from Pink Paislee...here is the kit that I came up with:
I have a beautiful selection of goodies that I am excited to get started on for this month! Here is closer look into my suitcase of scrappy goodness:

A cut apart sheet from Crate Paper, Maya Road Envelopes, Studio Calico brads.

A peek at the pretty paper, a Pink Paislee "Solstice" 6x6 paper pad, Basic Grey Carte Postale metal clips.

Cork stickers, Pink Paislee epoxy stickers, American Crafts ribbon, Basic Grey Capture stickers.

I am feeling very inspired to create...but tired, so I think I will call it a night and send you around to all of the other design team member's blogs to see all of their Counterfeit Kits.
When I get a few pages made, I will be sure to share!
Here is the blog hop list:

We love it when you all play along too! How will you be inspired to create this month?
