A Sweet Little Nest...

Is what I have for you today! I started with this week's sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches, and I used this Nest With Eggs digistamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Birds and Branches digistamp set, and the word art is a freebie that you can find on Lindsay's blog, which coordinates with the Birds And Branches set. I picked up the burlap ribbon on clearance at Wal Mart, and I cut the tiny blue flowers with my Cricut, and just shaped them with my fingers, and the pearls are from K&Co. Thanks for dropping by, now head over to the other gals' blogs for more inspiration and fun!

How Have You "Bean"?

Do you ever have one of those weeks where you feel like you're spinning your wheels, but not getting ahead? It has definantly been one of those weeks for me! I have parties, school functions and PTO meetings, and my oldest is in a play every day for the rest of the week...and I am trying to prepare for a bridal shower I am throwing for my little sis, which is fun, but, the invitations need to go out by this weekend, so it's crunch time! So today's card is a quickie, using an image that I have had colored for a while. I started with this week's sketch at 2Sketches4You, and I used images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Coffee Talk Set. If you hurry over and check her out at MyGraphico before midnight tonight (Thurs, March 18), everything is 30% off! Thanks for stopping by, now head to Lindsay's blog for a freebie, and the other design team member's blogs for more great LSS projects!

MyGraphico is Hoppin' Today!

MyGraphico is having a customer blog hop today, so I thought I would join in. I started with this weeks' sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches. Then I used this awesome Doodle Dragonfly from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff's Doodle Flowers digi stamp set. I colored it first with Copics, then painted over the wings with Angel Wings and Opal Shimmerz. After it was dry, I went back over the stitch lines with a pen. For the trail, I hand stitched over the stamp with embroidery floss. The handmade flower is one that I received in a swap on 2 Peas.
Run by and pick up some of her sets-they're all 30% off through Sunday!

A card to make you "Smile" and a SALE! (to make you smile MORE!)

I made this card for several challenges: it was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab, and based on a Page Maps challenge on 2Peas. I used a digistamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff- Birds and Branches set, and Lindsay's Shabby Green Houndstooth digipaper. The cardstock base is a Crinkle Texture cardstock from Wasau paper, and the 2 green cardstock tags are a scrap of C'oredinations, and I ran the one on the bottom through the Cuttlebug with the Diamond Plate folder. I colored the digistamp with colored pencils on the branch and leaves first, and used some shimmery light blue chalks by Pebbles, Inc. to give the look of sky.I cut the tags out the old fashioned way, with a template, inked the edges of everything with green ink and Walnut Stain, added the ribbon, and ...viola!Pretty quick and easy card!

Now, about the sale-Lindsay's Stamp Stuff is having a 30% off sale Thursday-Sunday! Go grab some awesome digistamps, svg files, or digipapers for a great deal!

Now, hop over to Lindsay's blog for a freebie, then the other designers for more great projects!

Just call me...

Last minute Liz! Just uploading a quick card for entry in to Moxie Fab's Olympics of Stamping (birthday) and Mojo Monday's sketch. The stamps are Studio G for the Sentiment, and Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Sweet Treats collection from MyGraphico for the yummy ice cream float. I colored with Copics, then topped the cherry with glue and Martha Stewart Glitter, then coated the "glass" with Glossy Accents by Ranger, and used puffy fabric paint for the foam.

Paper Sundaes...Yum!

I love ice cream...but it's so fattening.Paper sundaes (or chocolate dipped ice cream cone), however, are nothing but pure sweetness! I was asked to test this sweet svg file from MyGraphico, and I thought it would work perfectly with the sketch challenge at Paper Sundae for this week. Thanks for looking!

Welcome, Little Ones!

I finally finished a layout that was LONG overdue-since my babies are SIX now! The photos are from the twins' first bath (at the hospital), and I was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World- it was this awesome "Aqua/Pink Wedding" photo! (photo by Kelly Oshiro-her inspiration boards are AMAZING)
I love the banner and the ruffley pink cake-this is how I interpreted it to a scrapbook page. I started with a dark teal cardstock background, sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist, heated it with my embossing gun to dry. I then tore a piece of My Minds Eye aqua and teal paisley patterned paper, attaching a piece of pink crepe paper, ruffling as I went, to the bottom of the patterned paper piece. I then covered the bottom seam with a pearl trim. For the photo mats, I cut them from a very pale pink cardstock, and painted with Opal Shimmerz before attaching the photos. I added a clear journaling sticker by American crafts, a rhinestone flourish, and a flower that I made myself with my trusty Cricut. For the flower, I cut the shape out in several different sizes, from several different white papers, cardstock, and vellum. I rolled and shaped the edges of the petals around that gray rub-on applicator thingie that comes with the American Crafts rub-ons, sewed a button in the center, then painted over the center and the edges of the flower with Opal Shimmerz. Then I stuck it on the page with a pop dot. The "icing on the cake", so to speak is the banner, which I also made with my Cricut, and the fabulous Pretty Banner svg set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I cut out the Scalloped Banners, painted each little banner with more Opal Shimmerz, punched holes, threaded a skinny pink ribbon through, and spelled "welcome" with American Crafts glittering white Thickers. I attached the banner with pink flocked brads from Doodlebug, added 3 more Doodlebug brads for balance by the photos, and called it a day. I am thinking about adding a butterfly to the flower, though. What do you think?
Thanks for looking, now pop over to Lindsay and the other designers' blogs for a freebie and lots of eye candy!
