Get Picky Birthday Blog Hop

I saw that Get Picky was having a birthday blog hop, and I had to play along!

Do you believe I actually scrapped a page about myself? I don't always dress up for Halloween, but that year, one of the kids put a tattoo on me, so I had to scrap it!

Supplies used:
SEI Eerie Alley Arachnaphobia (been hording this paper forever!), Making Memories Spook Alley die cut 6x6 paper, gray Cosmo Cricket embossed cardstock that I inked, and a few scraps from Little Yellow Bicycle's Frightful Collection Large Stripes and Making Memories Spook Alley. I used part of a KI Memries border, and a couple of 7Gypsies stickers. The title letters were chipboard sticker letters from the Target $1 spot, and I dabbed them with my silver paint dabber.

Halloween Treats...

Today, I am sharing an easy peasy Halloween goody bag and sprinkle set using Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Vintage Halloween Labels (my current favorite set-I keep finding tons of different ways to use it!!). I started with a plain kraft paper gift bag. I spritzed it with Truffle Shimmerz, then dabbed it with a paper towels. I printed a label from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Vintage Halloween Labels at about 6-7 inches (they blow up nicely, by the way). I just printed on a pumpkin colored cardstock, and cut it out. After that, I put double stick tape on the back of the label and attached black tulle, twisting and ruffling as I went. I then put quick-dry Tacky glue all over the back, with Glue Dots in the corners for extra hold. A bow on the handle, and then I am ready to start stuffing it with goodies and treats!
After I made the bag, I found these awesome sprinkles in test tubes, so I had to make a label to match (also from Lindsay's Vintage Halloween Labels). I printed on cream cardstock, used pumpkin chalk ink to color the label,colored the witch with my copics, and coated the crystal ball with Glossy Accents and Martha Stewart marble glitter for a fabulous sparkle. A Recipe Card and a Sale

I am really loving the versatility of the Vintage Halloween Labels digistamp set! I joined a bunch of recipe swaps this fall, and these stamps have been that "perfect finishing touch" to my cards! For today ONLY, Lindsay's Stamp Stuff at Mygraphico is on sale for 40% off-so go grab some stamps!On this card, I used the Vintage jack-o-lantern round digistamp, used a round punch to punch it out, colored my pumpkins quickly with my Copics, and then inked the edges with chalk inks. The background cardstock is from GCD Studios Paris Nights (my most used Stack of all time), and I decorated it with dew drops.

Boo to You!

This week, I started getting the" halloween itch"- so I started with a card. The plan is to make cards for each of the kids' teachers (Which is really the only excuse I can think of to make a Halloween card ;-) ). For this card, I used the new Vintage Halloween Labels, and the Cute Halloween Digistamp sets from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.

Halloween with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff (and the Cricut)

It's a Halloween "Spooktacular" with us at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff this week! I made this cool Halloween centerpiece- out of an old ice cream tub! I saved it, washed it out, and stuffed it full of crumpled newspaper, then spray painted it black with some extremely cheap (less than a dollar) black spray paint, and streaked a little white through the newspaper for a more spooky, dimensional look. I colored and hand cut The Haunted House digistamp and a Cute Witch digistamp, both from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff,the Cute Halloween Set ,and then I used my Cricut and the Paper Doll Dress Up cart to cut the Spooky Trees, Black Cat, Spiderweb, and the Adorable ghost that is peeking out from behind the Haunted House. I layered a couple of ribbons, and added some Harry the Spider digistamps(also in this set) that I colored and flocked the legs, and also some silver glitter Lightning Bolt cuts from the Indie Art cartridge.

Cowboy Cutie!

Isn't he the CUTEST Cowboy you've ever seen? I made this page for week 26 of 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks. This is one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken of my son-he usually has that big cheeseball grin (my fault, I know, I am paparazzi Mommy!). Anyway, I love how this photo from last Halloween came out. I used a white textured cardstock background, inked the edges with black Graphite Brillance ink pad, then I attached the 2 pieces of red bandana print paper. I cut the barbed wire with my Cricut and an svg file from Dan's blog (SVG Masks). I matted the photo on black cardstock, and attached some round adhesive backed studs that I got from Walmart a loooong time ago. For the pocket, I printed the Denim Pocket digistamp from Lindsay's StampStuff onto denim print paper. The stitching didn't show up enought for me, so I traced the stitch marks with a red marker. The tag is blank Grungeboard by Tim Holtz, which I used a template to trace and hand cut. I then used red "Ladybug" Momento ink to color the tag, and a Graphite Brilliance ink pad to ink the edges. I wrote my journaling by hand with a black pen, then braided raphia for the tie. I cut a little green cactus with my Cricut, stuck the edge under the bottom piece of patterned paper, then used Making Memories black polka dot Puffy Alpha letter stickers for the title.
