From a beautiful friend! I am truly honored to receive this award from my friend and fellow LSS Design team member, Leanne! It was truly very sweet of her to think of me!

Catching up on blog awards...

I have to send out a big THANK YOU for these blog awards! I received this one (above) from Lora. She is so generous with her time and talent...frequently sharing svg files, and lately, digistamps, too. Be sure to check out her blog!The rules are to share 5 things that I love:

3.Cooking-Even though spaghetti and chili were all I could make about 10 years ago, I have come to love to cook and bake...maybe a little too much, LOL!
4.My quiet/computer time...with 4 kids, I have come to treasure every little bit of peace and tranquility that I can sneak in! (Even though it sometimes means that I don't get enough sleep)
5.Nascar...the excitement, the smells,the speeds...Going to a race is SOO much fun...and a sleepy Sunday afternoon watching one at home with my hubby is fun, too!

I got this award from Celeste the other day, and just now am getting it posted. Thank you for this! I am very flattered to find out that some one enjoys my work. I love to do it- the recognition is just the cherry on top! Now, for this award, I have to tell you seven things about myself.

1. I am a stay at home mom to 4 beautiful kiddos (but you know that, because you have seen my photos!). Caitlin-10, Evan-7, and 5-year old twins, Natalie, and Cecilia

2.I am happily married to the love of my life, Eric. He is wonderful man, but does not understand the crafty side of me at all. He tries to look interested, but his eyes glaze over when I start talking "scrap", LOL!

3. I have been a Christian all my life. I was saved when I was 4 years old. I try to live my life in a way that will be pleasing to God and a blessing to others.

4.I am 29 years old (and plan on staying there!)

5.I am a southern girl with a northern husband. I wonder if the kids will end up with an accent?

6.My dream vacation is a summer in Europe. But right now, I would take a trip anywhere-I LOVE to travel, and with 4 kids (and i started young), that doesn't really happen. Oh well, in a few years, I guess!

7. I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years, and I just really got into cardmaking when i got my Cricut for Mother's Day/my birthday last year.Scrapbooking is my stress relief, my creative outlet, and LOVE it!

My First Blog Award!

Yesterday, I received the Lemonade award from Lora (Notes From The Scrapbook Lady)-which was my first blog award!It was a nice surprise, that cheered me up a bit! Life around here has been really hectic, since my daughter's birthday party was Sunday, and our air conditioning went out on Saturday night. In the 90 degree+ Tennessee heat, no less. We found out yesterday we have to replace the air compressor (blech!expensive!)-and of course the repair man had to wait till today or Wednesday for a part.Hopefully he can get it and fix it today, but I am getting used to the heat. Can you imagine how it used to be before they invented air conditioning? Let me tell you, my kids have not been happy campers! But at least they/we can go swim if we get too hot! But, anyway, back to the award! Lor had some very sweet things to say about me, which I appreciate very much! Go check out her blog, she's got lots of great svg file freebies!

There are sooo many awesome blogs out there(and some of the ones I frequent just got this award), but here are a few of my favorites:

1.The Frugal Crafter Lindsay is one talented chick, with lots of money saving ideas on her blog, svg ,digistamp,and digi scrapping freebies. One of my favorite things that I learned from her blog is how to make your own shimmer spray. I am proud to be a member of her digistamp design team. and I am learning new tricks from the other DT members all the time! Head over to her blog and you are sure to be inspired!

2.Vendibles Blog Eleanor has lots of awesome free svg files (I think she's up to about 70!) One of my favorites is her cherry blossom frame that is one of the most recently uploaded files to her blog. It's so pretty! Stop by and see all of her lovely files!

3.Going Buggy If you haven't seen this blog, and you are a card maker or Cricut owner, you are missing out! Enfys has tons and tons of gorgeous cards, and what she does with her Cricut and Cuttlebug is simply inspiring!

4.Denise's Scrapbooking Room Denise has sooo many free svg files (and some more uber-cute ones for sale). If you have SCAL, you definantly need to go by her blog and work your way through the old posts!

5.All Things Crafty And Delicious-I just recently discovered Melinda's blog, and she is a girl after my own heart! She loves to cook and shares her recipes, and just recently started sharing a free weekly svg file. Drop by and leave her a comment!
