Happy Thursday!

For today's Stamp Stuff post, Lindsay asked us to"go green". I have to admit, I had a serious case of scrapper's block for this one! I had 3 or 4 different ideas, but here's the one I finally carried out!

I printed out the Happy Birthday card kit on the back of a sheet of cardstock that I had printed out something else on. I got all 3 of these cards out of the one kit, and still had a few pieces left over. On the first card on the left, I wanted to try a technique I saw in CK for using items that you have around the house and I thought would tie into the "green" theme. I punched out several layers of circles from some tissue paper that I had left over from my little girl's birthday party, and sprayed with Rose Tea Glimmer Mist. I attached the circle cut-out to the tissue paper flower's center. I love the look of this flower, and I will definantly use this technique again!I have tons of tissue paper around the house! The second card, I embellished with flowers punched out of the scraps leftover from making the base to my first card. I bent the petals a bit and attached with a glittered blue brad, and finished it off with a scrap of sheer yellow ribbon. For the third card, I attached the "Happy Birthday" plaque with a 3-d glue dot and some skinny light blue ribbon, and topped it off with a sweet cupcake digistamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. As you can see, it doesn't take much embellishment for these card kits to look fabulous! Now hop on over to the other Design Team members' blogs, one of them has a free digistamp for you to try!
