It's Time to Counterfeit!

This month, we are Counterfeiting the awesome new kit club, Front Porch Kits (which sold out very quickly!). I saw this great new kit club, but I didn't jump on it quickly enough, and they were sold out! But, no worries, I knew what to do!! It was time to Counterfeit!

Here is the Front Porch kit, "A Little Birdie Told Me":

Here is my kit, which I have named "Spring Awakening": I did a few little switcheroos for my kit, for instance, I used a deep chocolate brown instead of black, deep burgundy instead of bright red, and I had some Echo Park Walk In The Park collection that I used in place of the For The Record papers. Here is a listing of everything in my kit:

Papers:

  • Kraft cardstock
  • Burgundy cardstock
  • Sunflower yellow cardstock
  • Cream Shimmer Cardstock
  • Sugar Cookies Glazed Bazzill cardstock
  • DCWV Aqua Glitter Cardstock
  • I made my own "Postage Stamp" paper, by die-cutting a full size (11 inch) postage stamp svg file out of Basic Grey Basic paper, and attaching it to a wavy chocolate brown pinstripe paper from Echo Park Walk In The Park collection.
  • Brown and Cream embossed swirls paper from the Ruby Lemonade pad by C.R. Gibson
  • Brown monochromatic swirls paper from my stash
  • Burlap print patterned paper
  • GCD Studios red/white tulip print
  • SEI light aqua jumbo polka dot print
  • Love, Elsie cloud print paper from ancient paper pad (isn't it funny how the same/similar prints become popular again?)
  • Cloud 9 embossed butterfly print
  • Prima Paintables cardstock/patterned paper
  • Little Yellow Bicycle yellow print
  • Echo Park Walk In The Park border strips
  • American Crafts orange and white gingham
  • Making Memories Postcard patterned paper
  • GCD Studios teal "Pool Tiles" paper
  • Echo Park A Walk In The Park "Playful Stripes" patterned paper
  • Webster's Pages "Underwater Oasis" patterned paper (I am showing the back in my photo, the striped side)
  • CR Gibson Ruby Lemonade yellow flocked print paper
  • Basic Grey Perhaps "Kisa" green circle mosaic print
  • Echo Park Life Is Good "Journal Cards" -again, I am showing the back, a green grid print
  • Basic Grey Lemonade "Honey Bee" yellow honeycomb print
  • My Mind's Eye Love Nest by Carina Gardner glitter bird print from a stack
  • teal/white pinstripe
  • October Afternoon Farm Fresh South Forty brown/sky blue floral print
  • Echo Park A Walk In The Park "Journal Cards"
  • Echo Park A Walk In The Park "Element Stickers"
  • Basic Grey Lemonade "Element Stickers"

Embellishments:

  • 5 packages of various American Crafts Thickers instead of the raw chipboard letters
  • Basic Grey Take Note journaling cards with transparencies
  • Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letter stickers
  • E-Line orange Prima flowers
  • Colorbok Green Glitter butterfly stickers
  • a mix of raw chipboard-flowers, tags, and trees
  • Martha Stewart green glitter (2 shades)
  • teal glitter
  • leftover feathers from last month's kit
  • a mix of Making Memories and Jenni Bowlin journaling spots
  • a Colorbok chipboard butterfly mini album
  • 2 different teal shades of Glimmer Mist, forest green Shimmerz
  • bottlecaps (forgot I had these!)
  • various teal, pink, red, green, and yellow Primas
  • Googly Eyes
  • some fabric remnants I had in my stash
  • A rather large collection of ribbon ( I love pretty ribbons!)

I also pulled some stamps (all of the ones I had with birds-which was alot more than I realized, lol!)
Thanks for dropping by to look at my kit!! A little later today, I will do a "March Wrap-Up" post, showing all of the layouts that I did for March, and what I had left from my 5 kits!!

  3. Stunning kit (and stylish collage too).
I have edited my standard blog template (up in the Design section top RHS) - via "Template Designer". I chose a "Layout" with main block and sidebar on RHS then used "Adjust Widths" to maximise the width for the main part. I re-size blinkies in the sidebar to 150 pixels inside the template code. I also adjust the photo sizes before posting ... small/med/large/XL or original size depending on what I want - SEVERAL previews needed LOL!
E-mail me if you need some more info :)
