Counterfeit Kit Challenge 3 for August

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this sneak peek of this page:

As you can see, I am a little behind on using up my kits, so this page is taken almost entirely from my July kit. I was inspired a week or so ago to cut the tiny windows out of this fun Dear Lizzy frame paper with an exacto knife, and back them with tiny squares of the Teresa Collins patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and then backed the whole sheet with a lovely, thick piece of the Carta Bella textured paper. Then it sat in my scrap basket for several days, with out a given purpose. When I was looking over my challenge for the CKC blog this moth, I knew immediately that for a challenge based on the word "Friends", I wanted to write a little bit about the unique relationship that my girls share. I thought of this paper, found a picture that demonstrated some of the things that I wanted to talk about, and it all came together nicely for me in this page:

The journaling says: " Having a twin sister means having a built in best friend to fight with, laugh with, and share with. You are both great readers, and you had fun posing with Posiedon in Epcot's Italy pavilion, since you have both read several books with Greek mythology in them."

  4. LOVE what you did with the frame paper! I'm sure it was time-consuming but I think it's well worth the effort. Great page too that captures the special relationship between your girls.
