I started with one of the simpler patterns from my April kit and used all of the ampersand stamps from my kit to stamp a pattern in a line:
And then I took most of the diecut ampersands from the kit (all were cut files from Wilna's Art and Design class) and layered them on top of the row of stamping:
And added lines of ribbons and washi for my page
And here is my completed (STAMPED!) page:
And I have to say, it makes me feel really good to use my stamps on my pages. I am using them instead of just collecting them! The Easter Eggs and "Happy Easter" were also stamped, using some Studio G Easter stamps:
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back on the 20th with a special post for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. You don't want to miss it!
Oh I like this idea. I have so many underutilized stamps. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove love love love this! LOVING how you used the "&'s"!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely layout and such a great idea to use the stamps! I know we all probably have different versions of the same shape - this is a fun way to use them. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove this! The bright yellow says Spring, the hot pink rose ribbon says Easter dress while the b/w says formal - all is in dressed up for Easter church :D Clever with the layered stamping & diecuts.
ReplyDeletewhat a great way to add a very special border! I love the idea of layering the stamping and the die cuts and then building the border with ribbon - very clever!
ReplyDeleteI love your layout. Bright and beautiful.
