Sketchy Thursdays *Last one!

I was saddened last week to see that this is the last Sketchy Thursdays sketch. I have so enjoyed playing along with this fun blog, and being inspired by the terrific sketches! I had to play along with them this week, and say farewell!

When I saw the sketch, I was immediately reminded of the "Love" paper by MME in my January kit. I chose another photo of my husband and myself from our honeymoon (almost 10 years ago), and I added red cardstock for the photo mat, a heart shaped doily that I inked with Barn Door Distress Ink, and layered with a button tied with twine, a Maya Road Vintage Trinket, and black lace from the Little Black Dress kit from Scraptastic Club.

Just sharing a layout that I created this past weekend, using the current sketch at Sketchy Thursdays, and combining it with my current Pinterest Inspired Challenge at Sketches 4 All.

I love this photo taken of my hubby and me on our honeymoon, we looked sooo young! The supplies I used: Background is Crate Paper, Bazzill cardstock, red Recollections pearl brads, Petaloo velvet flower, felt heart accent I received in a 2Peas swap, white paper doilies, Heidi Grace Chipboard stickers, red and white twine, journaling spot from Meridy in our recent Master Forger swap. This layout actually came together pretty quickly, thanks to my January kits!The only thing I had to add was the felt accent!

Puddle Fun...(and a sale at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff)

My Layout, "Spring Rain":A Close-Up Of My Title:I made this layout using the Puddle Fun Digistamp set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Shop Handmade store, pictured below:

I printed the cool Rain Boots and Umbrella on some Making Memories glitter polka dot paper, and added shading with my Copics.

I based my layout on this week's new sketch from Sketchy Thursday's sketch blog.

I used mostly supplies from my Wildflower Add-on kit to the March Counterfeit Kit. I started with the light blue grid paper by DCWV, then put the Basic Grey Doily lace paper on top of that. I put a strip of Kraft cardstock from my main kit in the center to "ground" my photo, then cut up and added the awesome Girl's Paperie border strips, which I inked with pink ink and attached above and below the kraft paper. I pulled out the scrap of Basic Grey Basics paper(leftover from making my Envelopes for one of my add-on kits), and put it above the photo to use as a journaling spot. I embellished it with the AWESOME digistamps (who doesn't love pink wellies with glitter polka dots?!! And the matching umbrella?), some ancient chipboard brackets from my stash, which I wrapped with the Pink Paislee Artisan Tape from my main Counterfeit Kit. I made the title with the pink/white polka dot foam letter stickers, and finished the layout off with a scrolly cream colored heart charm, some pink satin ribbon roses, pale blue pom-pom trim, and an embellished butterfly (that I got from Meridy in a swap!), all from my Wildflower add-on kit. I just love the way this page turned out, so soft, and pretty and girlie!

Yesterday Was A Scrappy Kind of Day...

Whew!! I was trying to use up as much as I could of my Counterfeit Kit, at least the stuff I had ideas for...

The first layout I did was for this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch...

The layout: "Love, Honor, Cherish" was done with photos from my little sis's wedding this past summer (wasn't she beautiful?), and made up almost entirely of my Counterfeit Kit. The only thing I added were the Doodlebug Frills (the black scalloped borders). They needed a little pizazz, so I painted them with the homemade Concrete Glimmer Glam paint from my color kit, then misted them with Homemade Moonlight White shimmer mist. I was impatient, so I used my heat tool to dry it, so I could go ahead and use it.

The second layout, "Frosty Kisses", used photos that I took of my brother, his girlfriend, and her little boy. The supplies were completely from my Counterfeit Kit from February, with the exception of the journaling spot from Creative Imaginations, from my January kit, and the tiny scraps of flourish blings.The title and snowflakes are cut from my Winter Woodland cartridge and Cricut.The next layout, "Snow Day", used up some of the pics from all of our recent snows. Again, most supplies were from my February Counterfeit Kit. I did swap the light blue cardstock from my kit for this slightly different shade of light blue Bazzill (Swiss Dots) from my stash, because I felt it matched my photos better.I used cardstock scraps from my Feb kit, a Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped border, and added a Making Memories Noteworthy sheet for the journaling.I used Winter Woodland again to cut out snowflake accents and the "Snow Day" title, using scraps of the lavendar cardstock and leftover pieces of the GCD Studios paper on the shimmery white back side for the layering and snowflakes. I used white Momento ink on the circle chipboard , and sprayed with my Plum Crazy and Moonlight White homemade shimmer mists. I dried it with my heat tool, and used my Doodlebug rub-on letters for the word, "fun".The last layout, "Sharing", was of some sweet cupcake sharing photos of my twins-the photo coloring was a bit off, but I wanted to scrap this sweet memory, anyway. From my Counterfeit Kit, I used the Back of one of my Basic Grey sheets for the background of this layout, a Basic Grey chipboard label, a few light pink Basic Grey Painted Brads, the last tiny pink flower, a Jenni Bowlin journaling spot, a grungeboard bookplate, and a cupcake feltie and a mini banner from my stash.I inked the grungeboard with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain Distress ink pads, and misted with my homemade Moonlight White shimmer mist, and the cupcake feltie was one I made for a swap on 2 Peas in a Bucket.The chipboard Basic Grey plaque, I inked with white Momento ink, painted the edges with Opal Shimmerz, and misted the chipboard with the Moonlight White shimmer mist. I also used the Making Memories pink glitter stickers, and the patterned mini banner was from a mini banner swap on 2 PeasHere is what I started the month with:

Here is what's left of my Counterfeit Kit, Cardstock, and Romance Add-ons!! I know, it looks like alot, but it actually is not very much when you consider all of the stuff I started with. I did have some partially used ribbon, tulle, and Remarks journaling stickers left, that I put back in my stash. And, out of all of my patterned papers and cardstock, I only have 1 full sheet each of cardstock and patterned paper, and a few partial sheets and scraps. I do have one more layout and card in the works, which I will share in the next few days.

All in all, yesterday was a very productive scrapbooking day, but I have some cleaning to do today!

Stretching My "Counterfeit Kit" Out!

My first layout is based on the sketch that was given to us at the Counterfeit Sketch Blog:

The second layout is not based on a sketch, just whipped some goodies from my kit together, adding as little as possible. I love this photo of me and my three youngest from a few years ago at Thanksgiving. And this last layout is based on the guest DT sketch at Sketchy Thursdays:

Sketchy Thursday June Guest Dt...

Sketchy Thursdays is having a call for a guest designer, and here is my entry. I took this photo of my daughter, Natalie, and have been waiting for just the right inspiration to scrapbook it. When I saw this sketch, and these yummy Kioshi papers from Basic Grey, I knew that they would work together to make a pretty page for my beautiful daughter. I made the flowers myself (I am sooo loving handmade flowers right now)The white flower is made from layers of white shimmer paper, vellum, and cardstock, and layered on top of a white doily that has been sprayed with various shades of Shimmerz: Ruby, Mango Madness, and Bed Of Roses. I attached all of the layers together by sewing a button in the center. The purple flowers were cut with my Cricut out of various scraps of purple cardstock, and the centers are a scallop circle punch by Martha Stewart, with some purple gems I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby. After making the purple flowers, I spritzed them and the lace ( which was originally cream colored) with Rock-A-Fella Blue Shimmerz (kind of a purple-y blueberry color). The diecut title was cut with my Cricut and Once Upon A Princess cartridge, and embellished with Stickles. Thanks for looking, wish me luck!
